Position Summary

Job Function

The BUD is a hands-on, leadership role. The incumbent will identify, develop and implement Marketing and Sales solutions, including local delivery of global projects and programs. It requires, therefore, broad and deep Commercial expertise and strong business acumen, as well as the ability to flex from strategic to tactical execution.

Areas of accountability include:

  • Directing the preparation of long-range business plans, annual operating plans and financial budgets.
  • Leading the team in achieving budgeted annual sales and profit objectives.
  • Reporting progress through monthly business review meetings.
  • Remediating and adjusting plans, including corrective action, as required to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities as Export Area Manager:

  • Be responsible for opening markets in the EU and large accounts
  • Work together with the CEO, to develop and follow the Commercial Plan and objectives,achieving the annual sales budget defined at the plan.
  • Manage sales and B2B promotional actions in a group of countries from different continents, either working with distributors, agents or in direct contact with relevant key accounts.
  • Business Development: Actively search for new customers for a new product concept.
  • Particularly key accounts (Decoration and furniture chains, department stores, and on line retailers) and new opportunities of development with current customers, including products tailored to local needs.
  • Participate in the sector's trade fairs.

Project Coordination

  • Support Retail Operations Lead in new store opening projects
  • Support and coordinate the streamlining of back of house process and efficiencies
  • Support IT-related rollouts for Retail
  • Support cross-functional projects (Finance, Logistics, DTC, Product) which have a direct impact on the retail stores.

Operations

  • Support stores in their daily operations
