Purpose Of the Role:
The Data Business Analyst supports PageGroup's Data Programme which is a strategic multiyear programme to mature PageGroup as a data-driven organization. The role requires the Data Business Analyst to have a good understanding of and experience with data, data relationship with processes at source, analytics and systems that revolve around data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Together with Product Owners, collaborate with business stakeholders at all levels to identify, qualify, prioritise and agree on business requirements, ensuring that business stakeholders express requirements and do not ask upfront for a solution.
- Ensure that metrics definitions are consistent across the different functional reporting and model, maintaining the core metrics definitions document.
- Identify and analyse the data involved in any requirement and understand the context of how the data is generated or altered (ie.: business processes, business actors and source systems involved). Assess if the requirements can be met with the available data.
- Map the data, and document the logic of any data transformation required as part of the requirements documentation.
- In collaboration with the technical team, assess and document the impact to the existing solutions and ensure that the Product Owner, Project Team and any relevant stakeholder understand those impacts.
- Document and maximise the quality of the requirements gathered, including BRD, User Stories and mock-ups, and ensure comprehensive acceptance criteria are clearly documented.
- Facilitate and maintain requirement traceability.
- Obtain sign-off from the different stakeholders for Business Requirements, Solution Specification Documents, and for final deliverables.
- Perform handover activities to other project team members, e.g. developers and testers, to ensure that the requirements and proposed design are clearly understood and agreed.
- Support the testing team during all the testing phases by reviewing and complementing the test scripting, as well as supporting end users during UAT.
- Provide support to the training department to ensure a smooth transition, e.g. production of process and functional documentation. Conduct training where required
- Perform analysis to identify the root causes of any issues identified during testing or in our Live products.
