The Artificial Intelligence Manager will be part of the Data Office in Leroy Merlin Spain inside the Digital Tech & Data Area. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, her/his mission will be the creation, implantation and evolution of the Artificial Intelligence area, being responsible for all the aspects needed to success: people, methodologies, strategy, project delivery, proposals of use cases…

The Artificial Intelligence Manager will have the autonomy to create and define the practice from scratch, so we are looking for someone proactive, practical and ambitious, who shares the challenge (and responsibility) of becoming Leroy Merlin in one of the more advanced companies in Spain regarding data to provide best-in-class data products to our business

Some of the key aspects to develop by the Artificial Intelligence Manager will be:

- Artificial Intelligence Vision & Mission: designing and deploying our strategy for the next few years.

- Artificial Intelligence core activities: methodologies, user cases discovery, delivery (and keeping alive) in production, seeking for machine learning models excellence…

- Proactive proposals of use cases that generate value to our businesses.

- Spread the use of Artificial Intelligence to all the corners of our company.

- Evaluating solutions, partnership and innovative services which give Leroy Merlin a competitive advantage

- Work together with other departments such as Engineering, Security, Operations or Innovation to build the best Artificial Intelligence services, architecture and processes

- People care: Grow, challenge and coach the team to make them one of the best data artificial Intelligence teams in Spain

“MUST HAVE” Requirements

• >10 years experience in data projects, with at less 3 of them as an Artificial Intelligence Manager/Leader


• Capacity to accept the challenge of designing and implementing an Artificial Intelligence are from scratch


• Understanding and experience in the main AI related techniques


• Fluent in English


• Experience working with Machine Learning on Cloud


• Proactive and business oriented mindset

• Experience with Data projects in Google Cloud


• Experience with Data projects in retail in multinational environments
