Lead Developer (Ruby on Rails)

• Lead Developer with experience with Ruby on Rails|International Saas company

Our client is an international company with more than 5 years of experience focused on the development of a brand new SaaS product, which will provide efficient and better solutions in terms of business administration.

The IT team is composed by a team of 12 people, mostly focused on Back-end development, and now, they are looking for someone who can manage all the Back-end needs, with of course the help of a wonderful Team.

They work in an international environment using English as the main language, and they also has bought new offices here in Barcelona.

• Manage and empower the tech team to achieve a high level of technical quality & reliability.


• Work in Agile squads with strong attention to well-documented, scalable, testable code delivered in a continuous integration pipeline.


• Provide expertise to ensure platform performance, ecosystem integration and flexibility.


• Promote engineering best practices within the organisation.


• Contribute to product development primarily using Ruby and use the right language for the right job.


• Collaborate within a cross-functional team to sync up priorities.


• Provide long-term technical solutions.


• Audit performance, security and reliability of current infrastructure.


• Analyse issues and optimisation points of the technical architecture.


• Own and drive the improvement of your team's processes.

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or other kind of engineering.


• Strong experience in Back-end development using languages like Java, Python, PHP and of course Ruby on Rails.


• More than 5 years of experience in software engineering.


• More than 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails development.


• You are hands-on, proactive and curious.


• Fluency in English.


• Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team and creating a positive work environment.


• You are problem-solving oriented, and technical challenges motivate you.
