Ground Segment Manager & Teleport Business Unit

The candidate will hold the position of Manager of Engineering, Ground Segment, Maintenance and Teleports Business Unit within the Technical Department. He/She will have the following main responsibilities:

Ensure the correct identification, deployment, operation and maintenance of the ground control segment of the HISPASAT Group, in Spain and in the Rest of the World in accordance with its strategic objectives.

Coordinate and prepare the technical requirements for control ground segment systems, in-orbit test systems (IOT), monitoring and access systems to the transponders of the HISPASAT Group's fleet.

Carry out technical and programmatic control and follow-up, implementation, acceptance testing of new ground control segment systems, as well as their modification and improvement, including hardware and software.

Manage and coordinate the maintenance activities and programs of the control ground segment systems, establishing maintenance requirements for third parties in a broad scope of action, taking into account the great dispersion of the locations to be maintained.

Design and manage the commercialization model of the Teleports infrastructure, in coordination with the Commercial and Strategy and Transformation departments.

Establish the ground segment engineering associated with the needs of the satellites and the network associated with broadband services.

MSc Degree in Telecommunications or similar.

10 years of experience in project management and/or operation of ground segments of space systems

English. C1-C2 equivalent.
