  • Developed and implement a best in class transport strategy considering new technology and in line with HQ strategy. Ensure the development of this strategy with a continuous improvement approach in terms of cost, lead-time and service level with a strong focus on customers.
  • Create and maintain a safety and health culture and awareness within the HQ Distribution at all levels as well as working with 3rd Party counterparts, always keeping on safety the highest attention.
  • Oversee day to day transportation activities of HQ to ensure timely delivery of the company products to internal customers.
  • Monitor and forecast inbound and outbound transport requirements and collaborate with Logistics Planner to prepare inbound transportation planning.
  • Work with HQ and 3rd Party Logistics Service Providers to optimize route planning, maximize truck loading factors, improve On Time Delivery indicators, and resolve delivery and product availability issues.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of HQ logistics network to ensure business and customer requirements are met. Participate to network improvement initiatives when required.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Purchasing to manage the relationships with 3rd Party Logistic, Service Providers: assess the integration of logistics partners, participate to RFQ/RFP's, selection process, and contract negotiations and monitor 3PLs performance.
  • Provide transportation training and expertise in order to streamline logistics best practices across the organisation and improve logistics skills.
  • Work along with the Head of HQ Distribution and with the Transport and Warehousing teams to identify process and system required enhancements and lead efforts to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and publish transportation activity monitoring metrics and daily reports as well as SC-EU Distribution performance dashboard.
  • Review, develop, and implement Transportation Standard Operating Procedures, perform audits and provide recommendations and strategy to improve transportation operations.
  • Support SC-EU Distribution with weekly and monthly reporting as well as with ad-hoc analysis when required.
  • Constantly monitor transportation costs and margins and liaise with SC-EU Finance when required to ensure financial performance is in line with defined targets. Develop and implement corrective actions in case of deviations.
