- Contribute to ensuring compliance with the Group Quality, Health & Safety, Environment and Equal Opportunities policies.

- Build and implement strategies, processes and activities aimed at improving our environmental profile and corporate metrics.

- Encourage the correct definition and implementation of Saica’s Environmental Management System in Saica divisions.

- Contribute to define robust processes to quickly respond to the needs and help to reach the objectives the business seeks, following SAICA’s 2025 Strategy.

- Ensure correct compliance with regard to legal requirements and reporting needs on Environment.

- Ensure that the Business Unit is aware of its obligations, it is punctually informed of any change that occurs and makes a follow-up of actions plans launched when necessary.

- Facilitate coordination and uniformity between plants, acting as the link on environmental matters with the Areas / Group.

- Help the different industrial sites, as well as their supply chain, to lessen their impact, contributing pro-actively to the Protection of the Environment.

- Ensure there is an adequate training plan and encourage people in the department to acquire the necessary competencies, skills and knowledge to be able to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.

- Make sure that, in all the countries, internal and external audits are performed in relation to the requirements of certifications related to Environment held by each plant and that any corrective actions that are implemented represent a real improvement to the system.

- Establish an efficient web in the organisation to support on Environment issues or customer requirements. If necessary, transmit them to Area or Group Management.

- Take the lead in defining the annual Environment Master Plan, Budget and Objectives and, after approval, periodically monitor implementation and compliance. In the event of any deviations, report shortcomings in discussion forums (KITs, meetings...) and suggest lines of action to resolve them.

Requisitos mínimos
Academic Qualification: Degree in Chemistry, Chemical/ Industrial/ Environmental Engineering

Experiencie:

- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar position, leading an Environment Department or Environmental Projects.

- Experience in Quality & Environmental Management Systems implementation and maintenance.

- Good Knowledge of the European and UKI Environmental Legislation.

- Geographical mobility.

Languages: English (C1), French will be valued.


Location: Zaragoza or other locations where Saica is based depending on the candidate location
