The System Design Leader will have to manage functionally the Project Design Team and secure their commitment to the project, dealing with planning, budget, workload distribution, team members skills development, escalating of staffing issu.
His/Her Missions: Defines and develops the signalling system architecture and functionalities
Defines and allocates requirements, evaluates design trade-offs, analyses technical risks, defines interfaces.
Keep close coordination with verification and validation, and with project deployment teams.
Provides all the necessary support to the Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) for the technical
Answer to the needs expressed by the Solution Director and the specific user project needs.
Participates to R&D activities to develop the future signalling systems.
The System Designer defines and maintains Engineering Design QCD targets, in line with Project baselining strategy and develops typical applications of the system and manage design feedback from V&V team.

This role is suitable for an engineer with knowledge in development or integration of Signalling System, in development or integration of European Legacy Signalling System (KVB, TBL1+, ATB, PZB, …).in development or integration of CBTC or TCMS signalling System.
