Product Application Specialist

We are currently looking for a position as Product & Application Specialist located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona, for Nova Biomedical.

Description

* Responsible of Nova Critical Care & POC laboratory sales evaluations, lab evaluations reports and presentation to customers in collaboration with the sales representative.
* Provide in-field assistance for pre and post sale technical activities with a primary emphasis on growing the user base of diagnostic products.
* Provide technical direction and support internally (tenders) and to customers on instrument operation, assay implementation and accreditation, maintenance of company products.
* Make clinical/technical presentations and conduct product demonstrations for customers.
* Work collaboratively with Sales Rep, Marketing, Scientific Affair, Technical Support, Service and global business units to identify and assess customer needs and provide high quality customer care exceeding expectations.
* Will report directly to the National Sales Manager, and will be based in Barcelona (Sant Cugat del Vallès)

Activities

* Support includes pre-sales and exhibition demonstrations, training on instrument operation and maintenance procedures, and field support.
* Work closely with Sales team to protect, maintain and grow the IVD business
* Establish and maintain superior product knowledge and be capable of sale product features and benefits.
* Demonstrates single system products, participates in customer training and pre- and post-sales support of clinical product offerings.
* Participates in training courses for customers and company personnel
* Communicates the technical and clinical information, ensuring customer utilizes the instruments with efficiency and skill in appropriate applications.
* Participate in product promotion for tradeshows and seminars.
* Become a trustable consulting partner.
* Provides most complex feedback and recommendations from customers to product development groups.
* Drive the continuous improvement of the activities and processes which add value to the customer and business. Monitor customer satisfaction targets.
* Adjust priorities and/or project tasks to enhance the customer experience
* Identify new needs and provide related solutions not initially identified by the customer.

Qualifications and requirements

* This position requires self-motivation, independent thinking, accountability, strong organizational skills and customer orientation, strong technical skills on the product line supported, and excellent communication skills and ability to manage conflict.
* Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical or equivalent or high education in laboratory
* Position requires demonstrated experience in processes of different analysis laboratory techniques (ideal clinical chemistry).
* Position requires demonstrated quality performance as an Application/Product Specialist for a minimum of 4-6 years or previous related experience within the in vitro diagnostics industry (clinical laboratory experience, or as PhD or technical services/support lab experience)
