Role scope:

To provide an integrated supply chain management service encompassing purchasing, procurement and logistics and working in close collaboration with the other functional areas of planning, scheduling, demand management, goods inwards and inventory management to ensure improved delivery performance, reduced inventory levels and reduced costs. Direct material spend currently reaches to 25M EUR annually.


Key Accountabilities:

•Develop and manage a stable supplier base that delivers quality products and services on time at globally competitive pricing (OTD - 95%, Quality - 98%)
•Develop a supply chain Annual Operating Plan (AOP), based on the forecast annual spend for direct and indirect material
•Determine cost reduction opportunity projects/initiatives and drive throughout the year in line with savings/cost reduction objectives.
•Drive CIP in improving internal processes and reducing costs
•Manage the training, development, retention and succession of staff to ensure improved people performance, career development and retention.
•Ensure compliance with corporate policy and regulations covering such aspects as ethics, integrity, health and safety, SOX and other requirements.
A key accountability will be to drive commodity sourcing in alignment with regional commodity strategies. This will entail:

•Planning annual direct material spend targets
•Supplier consolidation and leverage volume
•Driving negotiations and closing contracts for both direct and indirect commodities in line with supplier strategies and savings targets
•Integration of new products with associated supply chain solutions.
•Total product cost must be in line with gross margin and market level price objectives
•Developing a robust domestic sourcing plan for key component families that aligns and complements the existing supply chain solutions for each of the product lines
•Drive high standards of ethics and compliance through the team


The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

•Operational supply chain experience of minimum 10 years in high volume manufacturing with minimum of 5 years in team management are essential
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Supply Chain with CIPS/APICS preferred
•Experience in international sourcing, preferably including the conversion from high-cost to low-cost suppliers
•Strong experience in inventory and stock management, confidence with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
•Fluency in English and Spanish are essential
•Strategic thinking, self-starter with strong attention to details
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Team management experience essential
•Wide cultural adaptability, change oriented, stress resistant
•The ability to think strategically and implement actions operationally within a matrix organization.
•Strong influencing capability and effective listening skills
•A creative supply chain/procurement professional who possesses first class negotiation skills.
•The credibility to form good working relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
