Regional Senior Controller

Important multinational company is looking for a Regional Senior Controller for WEMEA Region, based in Madrid. First year you will have to live in Dusseldorf (Germany) for training. The selected candidate will have around 8-10 years of relevant experience in finance (Controlling, Head of Accounting, Finance Manager and/or Big 4) in a multinational environment. Excellent English level is a must. German will be a plus.

Reporting to the CFO WEMEA, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

• Preparation and improvement of existing reporting tools for the Regional management, which helps to identify problems and to develop improvement measures.


• Monitoring KPI's and identify improvement potentials through usage of SAP Analysis & Power BI tool, and other reporting applications.


• Deep involvement in commercial subjects in order to develop a robust Sales strategy.


• Close relation with CFO WEMEA with regards to systems, timelines and development activities.


• Further development of project/product profitability analysis and cost controls.


• Ensuring the adequate maintenance of proper policies and procedures in the areas of finance, accounting, leading to complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting.


• Ensure planning adherence & alignment with Divisions & Central Finance functions.


• Analyzes the financial impact of major business operational issues and decisions affecting the business and delivering timely reports as requested.


• Contribute to internal peer coaching and knowledge sharing with pro-found Finance knowledge.

• Salary package in Madrid: Around 50.000 - 60.000 euros + 20% bonus.


• Salary package during the first year in Dusseldorf: Around 50.000 - 60.000 euros + 20% bonus + expatriation plus.

• Bachelor's on economics, accounting or a comparable education.


• Around 8-10 years of relevant experience in finance (Controlling, Head of Accounting, Finance Manager and/or Big 4).


• Very good accounting & cost accounting knowledge.


• Must display exceptionally good Ms Excel, Ms Office, Ms Outlook, and Power Point skills.


• Must also be highly familiar with the use of financial software such as BI tools, data models, SAP among others.


• High affinity for process standardization.


• Excellent analytical skills.


• International experience will be a plus.


• Demonstrate a proactive working approach and a strong problem-solving ability, even in a very dynamic and fast-moving environment and keep the big picture.


• Have excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Have excellent English level, written and oral.


• German will be a plus.


• Willing to relocate to Dusseldorf during the first year for training is a must (after that year in Germany, the position will be based in Madrid).
