We are looking for a Project Engineer for a international company.

The mission will be:

Development and subsequent execution of Capital Investment Projects in line with project execution strategy, and in accordance with defined best practice so as to deliver safe, on-time, on-cost projects with the appropriate quality/functionality.

The principal responsabilities will be:

a) Project Development

· Support allocated Project Development after to determine optimised technical, execution, schedule and cost solutions so as win opportunities
· Review and refine documents to define best technical solutions
· Develop the execution strategy
· Develop and 'own' competitive cost budgets and schedules for assigned projects

b) Project Management/Execution

· Ensure effective Health & Safety regimes are established for all projects executed to lead to zero incidents occurring
· Establish and lead effective project teams comprising staff from within the Linde matrix and external parties e.g. procurement, legal, key suppliers, project controls, etc
· Ensure adherence to defined processes and company standards
· Manage and measure key project tasks as required so as to deliver project to defined KPI's including vendor performance management

c) Reporting

· Produce monthly reports using defined templates and tools so as to report on HSE, project progress, costs, risk management and issues arising
· Escalate appropriately issues that cannot be managed within the defined project team
· Report in appropriate timescale any notable exceptions e.g. LTI/MIR, major cost deviations as soon as known, major quality/functional deviations etc

d) Process Excellence & Best Practice Management

· Understand and implement new processes, procedures and standard as required
· Ensure alignment within Linde and other stakeholders i.e. Competence Centres & RBU Ops ,third parties especially for key activities e.g. Execution Strategy alignment, Project Milestone Reviews etc
· Where identified, contribute to the development and continuous improvement of existing practices

e) Project Closeout

· As Owners Engineer, work to ensure that new or refurbished assets are safe and ready for operation
· Ensure arrangements for asset pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are established and undertaken
· Manage the Plant Acceptance process including Reservation and Punchlist management
· Produce Project final report and lead review so as to transfer the asset fully into the RBU's or third parties ownership

Requisitos mínimos
University master's degree in suitable engineering subject or equivalent
· Economic qualification / MBA would be desirable in addition
· Fluent in spoken and written English
· 5+ years professional experience in an industrial and/or engineering environment
· 2+ years in Capital Project Execution roles
· Experience in management of cross functional teams within a matrix organisation
· Competence in SHEQ matters, especially those related to large construction project activities.
· In depth practical knowledge of Project Management and the different models used in project execution including schedule and cost control
· Commercial, contractual and technical awareness
· Competence in negotiations and conflict resolution
· Understanding of the industrial gases industry, plant technologies, competitive dynamics and market conditions across the various business segments (On-Sites, ECOVAR, Bulk and PGP)
