Head of Reporting

• At least 10 years of experience (BIG 4 highly valued).|Very high level of English is a must.

Important multinational company based in Madrid.

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts. Submit timely, cohesive, and accurate accounts to Group, for all Spanish entities, and guarantee compliance with international accounting standards.


• Own the numbers, understand performance and business trends. Prepare the Spain Reporting Pack and respective explanations for key variances to Budget, Forecast, and prior year, and provide useful insight to management and senior leadership.


• Drive consistency of reporting.


• Communicate results to schools Heads and functional managers, maintain a close relationship with them and exchange relevant information.


• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for Spain in order to meet Group deadlines and expectations.


• Assure schools and functional managers involvement in the process.

• Qualified Accountant with 10 yrs+ post qualified experience.


• Experience on complex, multi-location groups.


• Advanced Excel skills with proven experience of working with large Excel based financial models.


• Strong technical knowledge, including IFRS and Spanish GAAP accounting.


• Working knowledge of Cognos Controller / TM1 or similar consolidation system is preferred.


• Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Spanish.


• Capacity to lead, motivate and build confidence in the team.
