Important Retail multinational company wants to open a subsidiary in Spain from scratch, based in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years working as Finance Manager/ Head of Accounting of medium size multinational company. Experience in Retail companies is a must. Previous experience in setting up a subsidiary of a multinational company from scratch is a plus. Very high English level is a must. Hands on.




Reporting to the CEO in Spain and dotted line to the Regional CFO, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of all finance functions (AR, AP, General Accounting, Business Registrations).

  • Reviewing financial data and preparing financial reports (monthly management FS and other ad hoc reports related to Company's financial status and performance).

  • Treasury function (cash management, liaising with banks).

  • Checking and approving all company disbursements.

  • Checking and approving all regulatory reports (SEC, etc.).


  • Salary package: 45.000 - 60.000 euros fixed salary + bonus + fringe benefits.

  • Final offer will depend on the real experience demonstrated along the process.



Requisitos mínimos
  • Bachelor in Business Administration, Economics or similar.

  • MBA or Master in Finance, will be a plus.

  • Around 10-15 years of experience with at least 3-5 of these years working as a Finance Manager/ Head of Accounting in a medium size multinational company.

  • Experience in Retail companies is a must.

  • Previous experience in setting up a subsidiary of a multinational company from scratch is a plus.

  • Experience in the set-up, development and management of financial processes, policies and systems.

  • Experience in the development and management of robust financial controls.

  • Knowledge of reporting systems, tax and statutory reporting requirements.

  • Wide knowledge of the Spanish GAAP and IFRS.

  • Excellent PC/ financial modelling skills (Excel, Word, Power Point).

  • Excellent English and Spanish language skills.

  • Takes the initiative, is forward thinking and hands on .

  • Demonstrates trustworthiness, honesty and integrity.

  • Able to communicate, understand and negotiate.
