You will be part of the group Knowledge Architecture & Innovation, an interdisciplinary team of experts addressing challenges in natural language processing, knowledge representation using large scale graphs, information extraction and retrieval, deep learning, question/answering to build powerful knowledge applications based on the latest methods and technologies.

• Closely collaborate with architecture and product team to understand demand, work out and implement new platform features


• Capture and structure functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into continuous improvements of the application platform


• Write Terraform scripts and Kubernetes jobs to automate platform implementation and operation to the maximum degree


• Implement dynamic scaling of platform components, optimized for required throughput and cost efficiency


• Ensure high level of security by reliable implementation of multi-level protection features based on network security, micro-segmentation/isolation of services and RBAC


• Ensure high quality by implementing best practices and design patterns, implement comprehensive automated test cases


• Be excited about new developments and actively collaborate with Cloud providers to stay up to date with latest development, suggest and implement improvements for automation, security and flexibility


• Complement an interdisciplinary team of experts with your passion and experience

Interesting professional opportunity

A degree in computer science, software engineering, or mathematics/natural science

• 8+ years in working with Linux and writing advanced scripts using Python and Bash


• 3+ years expert knowledge in implementing and operating containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes


• Proven experience in practical implementation of infrastructure-as-code using Terraform to fully automate setup of large systems without need for subsequent administrative action


• 3+ years working with and setting up end-to-end CI/CD environments (Azure DevOps, IaaS and PaaS, Git, Jenkins, Gitlab)


• 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex software solutions


• 2+ years setting up and operating MongoDB, Neo4j, elasticsearch


• 3+ years of experience implementing high secure applications using security by design, state of the art authentication and authorization


• Excellent organizational and analytical skills and experience in (international) agile projects


• Excellent communication skills to effectively work with internal and external experts within heterogeneous, global teams


• Proven track record of successful delivery in agile projects
