Cyber Security Analyst I

The Cyber Security Analyst I supports the Cyber Security team with protecting confidentiality and integrity of the organizations information assets. Responsible for monitoring networks for security events and alerts to potential/active threats, intrusions, and/or indicators of compromises, analyze trends to determine downstream impact, and partner with applicable departments to ensure appropriate actions are taken to minimize risks.

Functions:

* Monitor security infrastructure and security alarm devices for Indicators of Compromise utilizing cyber security tools, under 24/7 operations.
* Analyze and research cyber threats emails / alerts to determine validity and impact.
* Determine downstream impact based on analysis to ensure applicable actions are taken to mitigate risks.
* Perform incident investigation and response and resolve security device alarm incidents
* Determine the intent of malicious activity based on standard policies and guidelines and escalate further investigation incidents to the next Tier of Incident Response.
* Conduct network traffic analysis on operating systems and applications to assess cyber security threats and trends.
* Generate security incident reports and document findings as well as events and actions taken, and track tickets to maintain workflow management
* Review and provide feedback on team members analysis and determination

* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology related field or equivalent experience.
* 1+ years of Information Security, IT network or other related IT experience.
* Experience with SIEM or other security tools.
