TECNALIA is looking for strengthen its activity in the field of Hydrogen within the Materials and Processes for Energy and Environment Area.


We are looking for an experienced, skilled and highly motivated researcher interested in leading and coordinating the research line on electrolysis for hydrogen production.


The successful applicant will collaborate with a highly qualified and multidisciplinary team of researchers in acquiring new R&D projects and in the development of new research lines


Job Description:


  • The successful applicant will lead the research line on electrolysis for hydrogen generation

  • The selected candidate will design and scaling up the electrolyser cells and stacks, design, scaling up and perform the laboratory scale tests of electrolysers and design and scaling up the balance of plant of the electrolysers.

  • The successful applicant will be responsible of the coordination, preparation (technical and economic part), implementation and management of both public and privately funded research projects at national and International level.

  • The successful applicant will be responsible of market development according to TECNALIA commercial plan.

  • The selected candidate will be able to generate new breakthrough ideas and strategies for business development.



Requisitos mínimos

Requirements:



  • A PhD in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or similar.

  • At least 10 years of proven experience on electrolysis technologies

  • Experience in writing, executing and coordinating applied research projects

  • Experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and scaling up electrolyser cells and stacks and related balance of plant.

  • Excellent analytical and team leading skills.

  • Proficient in English, at least C1 level or equivalent. Strong communication skills.

Other valuable aspects:


  • Fluid dynamics modelling and simulation tools knowledge for this topic

  • General knowledge on hydrogen technologies and hydrogen value chain.
