Tecnalia wants to strengthen its activity in the field of photovoltaic for that reason, we want to incorporate an enthusiastic Junior Researcher in Photovoltaic Systems.


The successful applicant will be capable of carrying out tasks of management and technological development for R&D projects of public and private financing.


Task Description:


The successful applicant will be in charge of:


The selected person will be in charge of:


  • Research and technological development in the field of PV solar energy, particularly in:

    • Manufacturing technologies for photovoltaic cells and modules

    • Characterization techniques of photovoltaic devices in indoor conditions

    • Reliability studies of PV devices and systems through indoor and outdoor tests @ TECNALIA’s facilities

  • Collaboration in the technical definition of offers and proposals in the field of PV solar energy.

Requisitos mínimos
  • Degree: Master & Degree in Physics, Chemistry or Engineering, preferably in a field of Materials, Electronics or renewable energy

  • Minimum experience: demonstrable experience of at least 2 years in the field of PV solar energy, in particular, in manufacturing cells and/or modules.

  • Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English, oral and written

  • Availability to travel internationally within the activity of the projects.

  • Interest in developing a professional future in the field of PV systems.

  • Ability to work in a team, with a clear orientation towards results and generation of new ideas.


Other valuable aspects:


  • Knowledge of other languages additional to Spanish and English.

  • Knowledge of SW programming languages (e.g. Python)

  • Knowledge of ANSYS mechanical-thermal simulation environment.
