Tecnalia wants to strengthen the team of specialists City, Territory and Environment


department by incorporating a Senior Researcher in Air Quality with experience in international, client, administration, industry, and research-oriented projects.


WHAT WILL YOU DO:


The selected candidate will:


  1. Generate innovative ideas to integrate air quality in digital twins, using experimental and model results.

  2. Collaborate in the coupling of different resolution air quality numerical models.

  3. Develop projects to provide the administration and industry with technological solutions.

  4. Planning and coordination of the technical aspects of projects, as well as participating in the preparation of proposals and technical documents.

Requisitos mínimos
  1. A scientific degree (Meteorology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering) and master’s degree in Meteorology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

  2. Previous experience in the air quality field (at least 7 years).

  3. Advanced knowledge in air quality:


    • Air quality modelling,

    • Knowledge in air quality related chemical processes, as well as emission sources.


  1. Programming and data base management skills (Python, R, Matlab, etc).

  2. Interest on digital tools and environments.

  3. Ability to solve problems, to work independently as well as being part of a team and with a clear results-oriented focus.

  4. C1 level in English

It will be valued:


  • PhD in air quality related topic.

  • Experience in applied research projects within international consortia

  • Experience in air pollution related satellite or remote sensing data.

  • Experience with Geographic information Systems (GIS).

  • Spanish language.
