The main responsibilities of this position are the structural design of the floater, applying the most appropriate analysis methodologies in each phase of the projects, calculating the weight of the structure in each of the projects and keeping it updated throughout the different stages of development.
You also will be responsible for the design of the structure along the different design phases (Conceptual, Basic and Detailed) .
You will do the basic definition of the Corrosion Protection System and supervision of its implementation in the different projects based on the specifications of the suppliers.
You will prepare and contribute to design reports relevant to the certification body.
You need a Master's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Naval Architecture or similar, and an experience of at least 5 years in projects related to offshore structural engineering in Oil & Gas and/or Renewables.
Structural engineering experience (Floaters structural design and analysis or/and Advanced Finite Element Analysis, linear and non-linear or/and Coupled analysis of floating offshore wind turbines).
Experience in the use of computer-based engineering tools and software, preferably
ANSYS Mechanical, or other free packages like Salome/Code Aster.
You also need knowledge of typical offshore structures design codes (ISO, DNV GL; LR...) and 3D CAD modeling tools, especially SolidWorks.
