The Digital Social Technologies (DST) area of the Fundació i2CAT is working to consolidate its positioning within the international Digital Social Innovation landscape, particularly through its participation in the Horizon Europe funding programme.


The DST area is looking for an individual that leads DST's research proposals preparation for international research & innovation funding programmes (mainly Horizon Europe).


The main responsibilities of the position will be:


  • Work on the European calls identified in the DST Research RoadMap, generating new proposals and/or contributing to strong consortiums with DST research topics.

  • Lobby in Brussels and with officers to introduce thematic preferences related to social and digital innovation and social technologies such as collaboration.

  • Work with the ENOLL and ESSI associations to promote consortia in the areas of health, education, employment and the environment. The first two are the priorities for 2022.

  • Coordinate and lead the writing of international research proposals (particularly targeting the calls of Horizon Europe).

What do we offer?

Where will you do it?


At i2CAT we already have an established telework policy for some time. You can work from home or from the office, whichever suits you best. We ask that you attend the office two days per week, one to stay connected with the team and the other one to establish relations.


If you decide to come to the office, we are located in Zona Universitària, next to the Campus Nord of the UPC, within a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. It is a very well connected area (metro, tram, bus) with bars and restaurants around.


Our offices are designed with an open-office concept where everything is light and transparency (we do not have opaque rooms). We have a variety of workspaces so that you don't have to be at the same table all day.

Requisitos mínimos

Minimum requeriments:


  • Proven experience in the preparation of international research proposals

  • Proven experience in research consortium building

  • Degree in TBD

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

  • Excellent networking skills
