At i2CAT we are looking for a Scrum Master to join the Software Engineering Group.



We are looking for a creative and positive person who is willing to execute the role of agile coach and collaborate with the rest of the areas involved in the projects. The successful candidate will work in an already existing team, together with an international partnership.



Main responsibilities of the position will be:


  • Maintain and improve agile methodologies among the team and the organization

  • Assist during the functional requirements gathering

  • Communicate directly with other areas of the organization, including business and project management

  • Help the team in the day by day challenges

  • Help during proposal, effort estimation and planning project phases

  • Assist in the resource allocation and the planning of the team

  • Enforce changes in the team to improve results and performance

  • Facilitate the decision-making inside the team

The succesful candidate will work in an already existing team, together with an international partnership.

What do we offer?


  • Work from our offices or from home, whichever works best for you. We ask for one day in person at the office to coordinate with the rest of the team.

Where will you do it?
At i2CAT we already have an established telework policy for some time. You can work from home or from the office, whichever suits you best. We ask that you attend the office one day per week, one to stay connected with the team and the other one to establish relations.
If you decide to come to the office, we are located in Zona Universitària, next to the Campus Nord of the UPC, within a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. It is a very well connected area (metro, tram, bus) with bars and restaurants around.
Our offices are designed with an open-office concept where everything is light and transparency (we do not have opaque rooms). We have a variety of workspaces so that you don't have to be at the same table all day.

Requisitos mínimos

Minimum requeriments:


  • Scrum Master certification

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban at least)

  • +2 years of experience as Scrum Master

  • Coaching and communication skills

  • Functional requirements gathering capacities

  • Professional spoken and written English

  • Comfortable in multicultural environments

Desired requeriments:


  • Experience as developer in software teams

  • Experience with software development lifecycle

  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA / Confluence

  • Organized and analytical person
