Financial Controller

International retail company located in Barcelona

This role will be responsible for all financial controlling aspects described below, for both countries Spain and Portugal.

• Control, review and approve monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for legal entity, both in SAP and Hyperion


• Preparation of Annual accounts


• Control and enforce local tax compliance and other local regulations (SIIs, SAF-T file, Ecoembes, INE question-naires, etc.)


• Handling of any local audits (external & internal)


• Financial policy execution (IFRS and local Gaap)


• Follow-up and coaching with AFSS


• Implementation of finance process developments in cooperation with Group Finance and AFSS


• Preparation of Group tax reporting


• Internal control policy execution


• Local contact for any Finance related matters (Banks, Insurances, Leasing, etc.)


• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Taxes, Business Controlling, HR, local Retail team and others)


• Ad hoc tasks and projects
