At Customs & Export Controls they are accelerating their plans and are seeking new talent to join them in providing the input that will help shape the future development of Volvo Cars. You will be an integral part of an engaged global team that has high expectations placed on it with management support to do things differently and with confidence.

You will be a key contributor leading and driving customs' projects and initiatives on a global level together with your colleagues. You will be the speaking partner providing customs input into car programs, product development, logistics flows etc. Importantly, you will challenge the way customs is done and offer alternatives that will secure compliance and enable efficient business operations. You will spend a lot of time on future development and preparing them for value adding operations and along the way identify, develop, and execute business cases utilizing duty mitigation methodologies. Moreover, you will also inspire and contribute to delivering increased automation in customs processes using technology and provide consulting services to their exciting affiliates (Polestar, Lynk&Co as some examples) in their pursuits. Adding to the flavour of the role, you will be a key driver in continually developing and driving the Customs & Export Controls strategy within the organization and work with customs compliance on a corporate level.

Form of employment: Permanent employment with six months probationary period.

Requisitos mínimos

On their behalf, we are looking for someone innovative - don't expect to be following an existing script - you will be creating the future. You are probably not afraid of the unknown and dare to do things differently as well as move with speed and create value with your delivery. Along with being a team player who brings everyone along on the journey we consider it important that you can bring an in-depth understanding of the global customs' process (supply chain, duty savings methodologies, import/export, valuation, classification, origin etc) and a demonstrated use of those skills in enabling business operations. This is a role where we will expect you to be able to bring clarity to ambiguity and traverse the complex landscape of a truly global company.

Background

  • Ideally with minimum of 8 years working with customs/international trade in a large global organization, consulting firm, or similar

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills (English)

  • Passionate, dedicated and drives activity to results

  • Structured and in control of their program as well as unafraid to make decisions
