Sports company which are representing a team for the American's Cup, is seeking a passionate Junior Chef. The role will be based at the team's sailing base in Barcelona.


The successful candidate will be tasked primarily with:


  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing all meals at the team's Barcelona base.

  • Contributing to the high hygiene and professional standards of the Kitchen Team, creating a productive and safe kitchen environment.

What can you expect to be doing?


  • Helping to organize the cooking and eating environment at the team base.

  • Working quickly and efficiently to provide high quality and timely meals.

  • Adapting to and catering for the rapidly changing nutritional requirements of the sailors and athletes.

  • Helping to keep food and hygiene records up to date, daily.

  • Assisting with the preparation of nutritional shakes and juices, as prescribed by the nutritionist / performance coach(es) and Head Chef.

  • Organising and preparing, as required, breakfast, lunch, and evening meals for team members and sailors.

  • Delivering on the water meals, as required, as well as nutritional snacks for sailing team.

  • Assisting in ensuring a clean and hygienic kitchen and eating area, at all times.

  • Assisting with ordering food, kitchen products, and ingredients.


What we offer?


  • Permanent contract

  • 40h/week, variable shift pattern

  • Gross Salary per year: EUR 35000



Requisitos mínimos

Who are we looking for?


  • Previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen environment or similar.

  • A strong understanding of hygiene requirements within a professional kitchen environment, as well as a history of implementing this knowledge.

  • The ability to work well under pressure and a track record of delivering against tight deadlines.

  • An adaptable approach to work and effective problem-solving capabilities.

  • Previous experience of working effectively as part of a team.

  • Fluency in the English language.

  • The ability to be flexible in terms of working hours, adapting to the schedule of the sailing schedule where required.

  • The ability to travel to and work from the team's Barcelona base, daily.
